Version 2026-09-14
JobKit is used by field-service businesses to run their work. That means we hold two kinds of information: yours, and your clients'. This explains what we do with both.
What we hold
- About you: your name, email, phone, business details and what you charge for.
- About your clients: whatever you put in — names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, notes, the work you did and what you billed for it.
- About your use of JobKit: sign-ins, changes to records, and documents sent, so there is a trail of who did what.
Your clients' details belong to you. We do not sell them, we do not use them to advertise, and we do not use them to train any AI model.
Where it is processed
Your records are stored in Canada. Some of the companies that help us run JobKit operate in the United States, so information is processed outside Canada. By using JobKit you agree to that. United States authorities can compel access to information held there under their own laws.
Who else handles it
We use these companies to run JobKit. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job.
| Company | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Stores your records, files and logins | Canada (Montreal) |
| Vercel | Runs the app and serves the website | United States |
| Stripe | Takes card payments and runs subscriptions | United States |
| Resend | Sends and receives email on your behalf | United States |
| Upstash | Counts sign-in attempts to block guessing | United States |
| Anthropic | Reads an invoice you forward, if you turn that on | United States |
Reading a forwarded invoice is switched off unless you turn it on. If you do, the invoice you forward is sent to Anthropic to be read, and it will have your client's details on it. Anthropic does not train on it and deletes it within 30 days. We keep the prices we read; we do not keep the document. You can turn it off again at any time in Settings → Pricebook.
Card payments
Card numbers never reach us. When a client pays, they do so on a page hosted by Stripe, and we are told only that it was paid. We store a reference so a returning client can pay faster.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. If you delete your business, everything is removed after a 30-day grace period, except the record that the deletion happened. Backups and email delivery logs may hold copies for a short period after that.
Your clients' rights, and yours
You can export everything you hold in JobKit at any time from Settings → Your data, and you can delete your business from the same screen. If one of your clients asks you for their information, or asks you to delete it, the export and the record screens are how you answer them — you are the one who holds the relationship, and we act on your instructions.

Changes
If we change what we do with information in a way that matters, we will change the version on this page and ask you to agree again. Small corrections happen without a new version.
