JobKit

Terms of Service

Version 2026-09-14

These terms cover your use of JobKit. Creating an account means you agree to them. They are written to be read, so they are shorter than most.

Your account

Your information, and your clients'

What you put into JobKit stays yours. We hold it to run the service for you and we act on your instructions. What we do with it, who else handles it, and where it is processed are set out in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Some of it is processed outside Canada. Your records are stored in Canada, but companies we rely on to send email, take payments and run the website operate in the United States. You are telling your clients' information to us on the understanding that this is the case, and it is your responsibility to tell them if you need to.

You must have the right to hold the details you enter about your clients, and to send them the estimates, invoices and reminders you send through JobKit.

Paying for it

When your clients pay you by card, that money is theirs to you — it goes to your own payment account, not ours. We take a small platform fee, shown before you switch card payments on.

What you may not do

Stopping

You can delete your business at any time from Settings → Your data. It is removed after a 30-day grace period, during which you can change your mind. We may suspend an account that is being used against these terms, or where payment has not been made, and will tell you why.

What we promise, and what we do not

We work to keep JobKit running and your records safe, but it is provided as it is. We do not promise it will never be unavailable or never contain a mistake. To the extent the law allows, what we owe you for any problem is limited to what you have paid us in the previous 12 months.

Keep your own records of anything you cannot afford to lose. Export is available at any time from Settings → Your data.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will change the version above and ask you to agree again next time you sign in.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
